How do I book a tradesperson?

It’s simple:

With our Rapid Response feature, you can be connected to a nearby available tradesperson in as little as 10 minutes for urgent jobs.

What is Rapid Response?

Rapid Response helps you find and connect with the nearest available tradesperson quickly-perfect for emergencies or urgent repairs.

Are Tradze tradespeople vetted?

Yes, all tradespeople on Tradze are verified before they can accept jobs, ensuring they meet professional and safety standards. Relevant certifications such as Gas Safe and NICEIC certificates are also checked where applicable.

Why should I upload photos or videos of my job?

Uploading photos or videos helps the tradesperson understand your issue before arriving.

Can I View my tradespeople?

Yes, you can view available tradespeople in your area and also you can view the reviews also.

How do I know if a tradesperson is nearby?

The app shows you available tradespeople based on your location, so you can easily find someone close to you.

Why can’t I track my service provider?

Tracking works via GPS. If your provider is underground or has poor network coverage, the location may be inaccurate or unavailable.
You can only track your tradesperson 1 hour before the appointment, and tracking will stop once the job is completed.

Can I book for a later time instead of immediately?

Yes, you can schedule a booking at a time that suits you, depending on tradesperson availability.

What happens after I book a job?

Once your booking is confirmed, the assigned tradesperson will review your job details and attend at the scheduled time. They will carry out the work within the allocated service duration as much as they can. You may also be able to track your tradesperson’s arrival in real time through the Tradze app.

 

What if my tradesperson is late?

You can track their location (within the allowed time window) or contact them directly through the app messaging system or Phone.

 

Can I cancel or reschedule a booking?

Yes, you can cancel or reschedule through the app. Cancellation policies may apply depending on how close it is to your booking time. Please check cancelation policies

 

What types of jobs can I book on Tradze?

You can book a wide range of services including plumbing,  glazing, electrical, pest control, handyman services, gas services and locksmiths.

 

Are payments secure on Tradze?

Yes, all payments made through Tradze are processed via secure payment gateways to ensure your transaction details are protected.

 

How can I contact TRADZE support?

You can contact Tradze Support in two ways: directly through the app or by sending us a message via WhatsApp.

What if I’m not satisfied with the completed job?

If you experience any issues with a completed service, please first discuss the matter directly with the tradesperson to try and reach a resolution. If you are unable to come to an agreement, you may contact Tradze Support for further assistance.

 

How much does it cost to book a tradesperson on Tradze?

A: Pricing depends on the time of your booking:
• 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM: £99 (incl. VAT)
• 9:00 PM – 12:00 AM: £149 (incl. VAT)
• 12:00 AM – 6:00 AM: £299 (incl. VAT)
• 6:00 AM – 9:00 AM: £149 (incl. VAT)

 

Is Tradze responsible for the work completed by service providers?

No. All services, agreements, and outcomes are strictly between you and the service provider. Tradze is only responsible for facilitating the introduction.

What is included in the booking fee?

Your booking fee includes:
• Up to 60 minutes of the tradesperson’s time on-site
• Assessment of the issue
• Attempt to resolve the issue during the visit
• Verbal recommendations if further work is needed

Your service provider will give a report of quotation before work.

How does the cancellation policy work?

Tradze’s cancellation policy depends on the type of booking you make:

• Rapid Response bookings (Immediate bookings): Once your booking is confirmed, it cannot be cancelled or refunded, as the service provider may begin travelling immediately.

• Book Later (Scheduled bookings): You can cancel up to 90 minutes before your confirmed booking time and receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 90 minutes of the booking time will be charged 100% of the booking fee.

Please note: If no one is available to provide access when the tradesperson arrives, the full booking fee will still apply.

What happens if I’m not home when my tradesperson arrives?

If no one is available to provide access at the agreed booking time, the full booking fee will still apply. The service provider will document their arrival and share the evidence with Tradze. They will wait for up to 5 minutes before leaving the location.

What if my issue cannot be fixed within 60 minutes?

If the issue requires additional time, materials, or follow-up work, the tradesperson may provide a separate quote for further work.

If the job is completed in less than 60 minutes, do I still pay the full fee?

Yes. The booking fee covers travel, reserved time, call-out fee, and professional expertise, so the full fee applies even if the work finishes early.

Are Tradze tradespeople insured and qualified?

Yes. All Tradze tradespeople go through a verification process to ensure they are properly insured and qualified before they can accept jobs. This includes checking relevant public liability insurance and confirming industry-recognised certifications where applicable, such as Gas Safe registration for gas engineers and NICEIC accreditation for electrical work. This process helps ensure that all services are carried out safely, professionally, and in compliance with required standards.

Can I arrange additional work directly with the tradesperson?

Yes, additional work can be arranged; however, any changes or extensions must be made through the Tradze app. Any extra work requested will be subject to additional charges, which will be applied accordingly through the platform.
