6. Background Location Tracking (Service Providers)
Tradze uses background location tracking for service providers to enable real-time service delivery and improve the customer experience.
6.1 When Tracking is Enabled
Tracking is only active under these conditions:
Booking Confirmation: tracking starts after a booking is confirmed
Rapid Response Switch: tracking is active only when the service provider enables the “Rapid Response” switch in the app
Automatic Stop: tracking stops automatically once the booking is marked as completed
Providers have full control over enabling/disabling tracking.
6.2 Purpose
Background location data is used strictly to:
Show customers the provider’s real-time location during active bookings
Provide accurate estimated arrival times (ETA)
Improve coordination and service safety
We do not track service providers outside active bookings and do not use location data for marketing or advertising.
6.3 Data Usage and Storage
Collected only while background tracking is active
Used solely for operational purposes related to the confirmed booking
Not shared with third parties for marketing
Retained only as long as necessary for operational, legal, or safety purposes
6.4 Provider Control
Service providers can control tracking via:
The Rapid Response switch in the app
Completing a booking
Device-level location permission settings
If device location permissions are revoked, background tracking will not function.
